This work depicts a wall of fog approaching the ‘Sparkplug’ light (aka the Lubec Channel Light) late in the day during low tide. The late day sun is reflected on the fog wall, the lighthouse and a small sliver of the channel. A fine thread of mist blankets the low tidal water surrounding the lighthouse. Remnants of burnt orange and brown colored seaweed lay along the water’s edge in the foreground near small salty abandoned pools. Pink casts from the sunset are also seen in the fog and the foreground water’s edge.
